Chastity - The Sixth Heaven

The angel Zachiel was given turn to speak and he gathered himself about him saying, “Unlike the rest, I have been touched by emotion. I alone of the angels have seen true joy, I alone of the angels have lost and I alone have felt death - but unlike the Fallen, it has not tainted my soul. I am stronger, for I have been in love; I have no need of anything but to know that. Because of this, I understand the knowledge that passes through the heavens unlike anyone ever could, and what it means to all living beings. I am a phoenix that is a liquid as water; I will learn eternally for I have felt all things, I have felt myself reborn from pain without bitterness and lust. I now know, it’s not what is felt in the body or mind, it is what is felt in the soul.”

“So to Zachiel, they gave the sixth heaven of Zebul, a heaven filled with snow and storms, of vast oceans that hold the depths of what it is to feel emotion. And it is here that multitudes of angels reside, singing the praises of God. It is a grand library, the greatest store of knowledge in the universe; it is here everything that has ever happened and is known is recorded. Where the angels can go to learn anything they wish; ecology, architecture, mathematics, Man- and Elvenkind.


Ahhh... the sixth virtue in =yami-caffeine and I's project! He is one of my favorites. A very very special thanks to ~Unassuminglocalguy who posed for this one for me. I loved painting the strange wings.

Quenta is The Enoch's first mate and hands down the best looking thing on the boat. Can we say hot? At first in the story somewhat of a strange figure to the crew of The Leviathan. He was extremely intelligent and not afraid to take charge as first mate, so he couldn't have been the virtue of humbleness. An extremely hardworker and very sharp but Lote was more clearly diligence. He liked to buy expensive things and has a huge collection of aniques and magical items that he was very fond of, so that ruled out liberality and abstinence. Certain encounters proved he was certainly not kindness or patience.

It wasn't until Sul, the embodiment of Lust, was trying to... uh... get his claws into him when it was discovered, while Quenta is an epicly skilled lair, he is also married. Extremely and devotedly loyal to his late wife. Even after her murder he remains strong for her and doesn't have it in his heart to ever find another person, so he is 100% undistracted from his job and eternal quest for knowledge.

So he is Chastity. The act of refraining from sexual intercourse that is regarded as contrary to ones morality or religion. It is to free from obscenity, undefiled, pure in style, not excessively ornamented and simple. Chaste people are naturally continent, unsullied and unaffected by the pains they have come across. They remain clean, neat, classic, and elegant dispite whatever they endure even if it would have left someone else ruined. Instead of falling to sins of the flesh such as lust and vengence they remain devoted to the ideal of their work, their own morals and pure untainted love soulmates, god and knowledge. Bet you thought it ment they only never have sex XD

Chastity which is essentally the forsaking of the flesh for the growth of inner purity and the mind, the virtue of pure, honest and true love is pretty clearly the opposition of Lust. After all unloving and soiled sex as well as how lustful thoughts distact from other things is about as far from open hearted warm as you can get. True to that, Quenta HATES Sul. Loaths him with a passion. Everything that he stands for in everyway. To bad Sul adores Quenta and is obsessed with him... they have an interesting rivalry.
